What we know about the deadly golf course explosion and fire

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The White House said on Friday that President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, Lt.

General Michael Flynn, was cleared to return to work following his abrupt departure from the National Security Council.

The decision was made by the U.S. Special Counsel on Friday, a spokesman said.

Flynn was removed after reports that he misled Vice President Mike Pence and other administration officials about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the United States.

Flynn, who was chief White House adviser during the 2016 campaign, was fired after it was revealed he had misled Pence and others about conversations he had had with the ambassador in December.
