Panchkula, Chambal: Golf courses can be a nightmare for residents
Panchksula is a well-known golf course for its pristine surroundings.
The locals of Chambally know the course well, and have a passion for it.
But as per the golf course schedule planner for the Chambali Golf Club, the area is prone to flooding.
The problem is due to the fact that there are no gates to control the water flow.
The golf course can only be reached by using the main gate, and is thus vulnerable to flood.
The official said that the gates have been sealed and that the water levels in the main gates have risen.
It has been reported that the golf club is planning to start using solar-powered golf carts for the first time in the course.
According to the official, the golf carts are currently undergoing an environmental assessment, but the project is still on track.
As per the official’s estimates, it could take two to three months for the golf courses to be able to reopen.
